Tapping into our own resources, we evaluated and picked the best and most popular Guideline rod models from the last decade, then remastered and grouped them into the best performing Mid Price range rods we have ever produced.
Eleven single handed, three Switch and four double hand rods offer a great choice of lengths and line weights.
Taking advantage of our well proven multi-modulus concept, each rod has its own unique mix of Japanese carbon sheets, making it possible to generate the tiny, subtle tweaks needed to bring out the most from both materials and tapers.
The long time Experience of Guideline chief rod designer Leif Stävmo, together with superb manufacturing skills from the factory engineers has resulted in a Series of rods that are sure to put a big smile on the lips of many Fly Anglers around the world.
As rod after rod finally evolved, the rods even surprised the Guideline crew with their performance, exceeding all expectations.
Hence, the name of these rods was born – Exceed…
EXCEED SINGLE HAND
The lighter single handed rods have collected inspiration and action curves from the popular Fario Flyrods, a smooth, yet powerful action that accepts a wide variety of casting strokes and styles.
The 9’6 and 10’ rods have evolved from several sample generations and revisions.
The final result is rods that have a character of their own; fast, but yet offering a surprising and very positive “Slingshot” feeling during the cast.
This will be highly noticeable also during any kind of Speycast.
A new non-linear taper cut has enhanced the strength of the critical spots and at the same time maintained a lively, continuous action throughout the blank.
The rods are finished in a discreet deep green color with dark green wrappings.
All rods have PB gun smoke stripper guides and light weight hard chrome snake guides.
Individual rod identification markings on each part double as rod alignment marks when rod is put together.
Exceed rods are finished with the philosophy that less is more.
We have reversed the clock and fitted them with no-nonsense, extra hard anodized metal parts in the reel seats.
Single handed rods up to line weight 6 have beautiful wooden inserts while line weight 7 and higher rods have all metal reel seats.
Fighting butts are “GL Hard EVA Style” (same as on Reaction and RS V2 rods) and make for a cool, practical and comfortable butt.
All handles are made from high grade Portuguese cork.
Rod tube and rod bag are included in the price.
